THIS WEEK AT STORM KING
The following tours and programs will take place at the Art Center this week. The tram, tours and programs are all free with Storm King admission.


Friday, July 3, 2009  
OPEN 10:00AM-5:30PM
Woody's Café at Storm King - CLOSED

11:00am - 4:30pm  Self-guided Trams

Handicapped-accessible trams run continuously throughout the day leaving from the base of the elevator on the half hour. Feel free to disembark, walk, and re-board at designated points along the way.

2:00pm  Hightlights of the Collection Tour
Docent-guided walking tour, 45 minutes to one hour in length, highlight the Art Center's permanent collection around the building as well as larger pieces in the distance. The tour departs from the front of the Visitor Center.

Local artist and art educator Wally McGuire encourages visitors to develop a “heart connection” to the wonders of Storm King through interaction with elements of sculpture. Mr. McGuire will explain scale, texture, color, form, movement, and artists’ use of materials. Tour will begin from in front of the Visitor Center.
