LENGTH OF VISIT Please allow several hours to discover the beauty of Storm King. Enjoy finding your own way through the landscape and discovering sculptures carefully sited among rolling hills, open fields and woodlands.
PICNICS & FOOD Enjoy a picnic under a tree in one of the two designated picnic areas.
Storm King Cafe, operated by Fresh Company, is open from 10 am-5 pm Wednesday-Sunday, with extended hours on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The cafe is in the pavilion located adjacent to the North Parking Area.
TOURS
- Docent-led Walking Tours are offered daily. Please see our homepage for the schedule.
- Acoustiguide tours Enjoy a leisurely audio tour at your own pace with commentary from the Chairman, Director & Curator, and some of the artists themselves. The units are available for rent in the visitor center. Rental fees are $4.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members.
2010 EXHIBITIONS
5+5: New Perspectives, comprising twelve new and recent works by ten artists, is sited in Storm King’s expansive landscape. It includes work by five artists who are new to Storm King and five who are represented in the collection. Six of the sculptures were created specifically for this occasion.
The View from Here: Storm King at Fifty, inside the Museum Building, explores key aspects of Storm King’s rich and varied history.

RENT A BIKE AT STORM KING! Bikes are available every day for rent near the South Parking Area from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm. (7:30 pm on Saturday evenings).

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Coach USA (Short Line Bus) offers day packages to Storm King, leaving from the Port Authority Building in New York City. Please visit their website to purchase this package online by clicking here or call 800-631-8405.
GROUP VISITS Admission is discounted for educational, cultural, and community groups of 15 or more visitors. A docent guided walking tour is included free with admission. To receive reduced admission, reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance with prepayment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or check and arrive together in a bus or van. TRAMS Handicapped-accessible trams run approximately every 30 minutes from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visitors may disembark, walk, and re-board at designated points throughout the grounds. Tram stops are indicated on the map and guide you receive upon entering Storm King. Trams are primarily designed to serve visitors who have difficulty walking. Those who can walk are encouraged to explore Storm King on foot. Free with admission.
Please remember that Storm King Art Center is beautiful in all weather conditions. Sculptures have different charms when seen in bright sunlight, in the soft light of a cloudy day, or even in the changing light of a slight rain. Every weather condition gives a different character to the works and adds new dimension to the outdoor visual experience.
